Assam: Modi in Assam to campaign for State BJP and alliance partners
GUWAHATI: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in poll bound Assam on Friday with a two-day agenda to campaign for BJP and its alliance partners –AGP and BPF for the coming Assembly polls slated to be held in April. The Prime Minister will campaign in Barak-Brahmaputra valley and will take part in seven election meetings during these two days.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be arriving in Mohonbari Airport of Dibrugarh at 10 am on Friday. He will be heading for Tinsuka district straight to take address a huge public gathering. After that he will be arriving in river iceland Majuli where he will campaign for BJP Chief Ministerial candidate Sarbananda Sonowal. Notably, this is the first time a PM will be visiting the flood- affected Iceland.
The Prime Minister will arrive in Bihpuria constituency at 2 pm and after addressing a rally there he will head for Bokakhat where he will campaign for alliance partner AGP and its candidate Atul Bora. The prime Minister will arrive in Jorhat at 6pm and in the last programme of the day, he will campaign for BJP candidate Hiten Goswami.
The Prime Minister will fly back to New Delhi and will again arrive in the state on Saturday. On Saturday he will take part in two meetings in Barak valley.
