Assam: Mission China hits silver screen with a bang; expected to be biggest blockbuster in Assamese cinema

September 10, 2017: The wave that has been whirling the wits of every Assamese cine-goer for such a long stretch has come ashore. The much awaited and talked about flick of the year Mission china by the sensational Zubeen Garg has finally hit the theatres on 8 September with a blast.  Being the highest budget film ever of the Assamese film industry, the heartthrob has successfully lived the expectations of the Assamese folks.

The story revolves around Colonel Goswami who agrees to go for a mission along with his three skilled companions to rescue the daughter of the Home Minister of the state from a dreaded rebel named Lama in the borders of China. It is very interesting to experience the mission set by Colonel Goswami and how finally it unfolds to reveal the actual motive of Colonel Goswami. The screenplay by Zubeen Garg is highly engaging.  The film has some hard hitting dialogues which will definitely connect the audience. Talking about the performances of the cast, Zubeen Garg who has played the role of Colonel Goswami shines in the entire film. The other key roles played by Sattyakee D'com Bhuyan, Siddharth Nipon Goswami and Tridip Lahon have done full justice to their roles. The two lead ladies played by DeeplinaDeka and Yankee Parashar looks elegant in the respective roles. PabitraRabha, who has played the role of Lama does a great job.

Moving to the technical aspects of the film, the cinematography needs a special mention because it has totally taken the entire visual outlook to a new level. The film has some stunning shots which have been taken in some magnificent locations of our Northeastern India. The two prime songs "Din JwoleRaatiJwole" and "MeroMayaalai" look marvelous. The background music makes the entire mission a rocking one and is sure to give a high beat to the audience. The action sequences designed by Pradhan Dewri are worth mentioning because it has some vibrant and colourful action which has never been presented in Assamese films till date. The overall technical elements are so vibrant that it will definitely make a mark in the minds of the audience.

For the first time, such a movie with so high graphics and awesome VFX has been presented to the Assamese people. Starting from the script to the direction and music, Zubeen Garg has done an extraordinary work by successfully handling the core departments of the movie. He has done an incredible job by serving as the backbone of Mission China. The audience of Assam will certainly find it highly appealing because it has showcased a very different product with all fresh and new components. There is no doubt that Mission China has literally turn out to be one of the greatest gamechanger in the history of Assamese cinema.

The first day collection of the film was around 39 lakh. Day two collected more then 40 lakh. It is expected to be the biggest blockbuster in Assamese film history.
