Assam LS Poll results updates: BJP leads in 9 seats, Gaurav Gogoi retains Kaliabor, AIUDF 1, Ind 1

Counting is underway in 14 Lok Sabha Constituencies in Assam. A total of 2,18,15,823 eligible voters in Assam, of which 1,11,86,860 are male, 1,06,28,460 female and 503 voters of the Third Gender. The state can be divided into 3 region(s): Barak Valley, Lower Assam, Upper Assam.

Assam has 14 seats in the Lok Sabha of which 1 are reserved for Scheduled Castes and 2 are reserved for Scheduled Tribes. Assam also sends 7 members to the Rajya Sabha. There are 126 Assembly constituencies in the state and the last Assembly elections were held in May 2016.

As per latest figures updated by the EC, BJP is still leading in 9 Lok Sabha constituencies– Autonomous, Dibrugarh, Gauhati, Jorhat, Karimganj, Lakhimpur, Mangaldoi, Silchar and Tezpur

INC is leading three seats– Barpeta, Kaliabor and Nowgong

AIUDF is leading in Dhubri

Independent candidate Naba Kumar Sarania is leading in Kokrajhar

Bjp leading in 9 seats including both seats in Barak Valley. INC is leading in 3 seats as per latest seats. The remaining two seats are being led by AIUDF and an Independent candidate

BJP leading in 9 out of 14 seats in Assam including 2 seats from Barak valley- Karimganj and Silchar

INC's Gaurav Gogoi has taken the lead in Kaliabor

BJP has taken lead over Gauhati constituency with Queen Oja leading with 303829 votes followed by INC's Bobbeeta Sharma with 293635

BJP is also leading in Jorhat by 411115 votes followed by INC with 343879

In Silchar, BJP has overtaken INC's Sushmita Dev. However, Gaurav Gogoi has overtaken BJP in Kaliabor.

With this, the BJP now leads in 9 out of 14 seats in Assam.

*In Dhubri, AIUDF's Badruddin Ajmal leading with 41743 votes followed closely by AGP's Zabed Islam and INC's Abu Taher Bepari with 25101 and
22381 votes respectively

*In Dibrugarh, BJP's RAMESWAR TELI leading by 52956 votes followed by INC's PABAN SINGH GHATOWAR with 24554 votes

*In Gauhati, INC's Bobbeeta Sarma is leading by 18754 votes followed closely by BJP;s Queen Oja with 16157 votes. The seat is witnessing a close fight between the both

*In Jorhat, INC is leading with 49392 votes followed very closely by BJP with 47926 votes

*AGP is leading Kaliabor with 53176 votes followed by INC's Gaurav Gogoi with 37603 votes

*AIUDF is leading in Karimganj with 37099 followed by BJP with 25209

*In Kokrajhar, BOPF's Pramila Rani Brahma is leading with 34974 votes followed by UPPL's Urkhao Gwra Brahma with 34719

*In Lakhimpur, PRADAN BARUAH of BJP is winning with a huge margin of
111168 votes followed INC's Anil Borgohain with 52352 votes

*Mangaldai is led by BJP's Dilip Saikia followed by INC's Bhubaneshwar Kalita

*In Nowgong, BJP;s Ripak Sharma is leading followd by INC's Pradyut Bordoloi

*BJP leading by 12,100 votes in Silchar LS seat after 1st and also in 2nd round

*In Tezpur, BJP's PALLAB LOCHAN DAS leading with 38719 votes followed by INC's M.G.V.K. BHANU with 29520 votes
