Assam | Guwahati Blast: Jahnabi Saikia And Pranamoy Rajguru detained

The Assam Police on Thursday detained two people with respect to the blast that rocked Guwahati on May 16, 2019.

Jahnabi Saikia Das and 'self-proclaimed' pro-talk ULFA member Pranamoy Rajguru were arrested today in connection with the blast near Guwahati Central shopping mall in Zoo Road on Wednesday evening.

Both of them were detained following hours of interrogation by a team of Assam police in Jahnabi's residence in Guwahati's Panjabari area.
Police also recovered a 9MM pistol, 35 rounds of live bullets, 40kgs of explosive materials and ULFA flags from her house.
The police also informed that Jahnabi was in a close link with 'self-proclaimed' pro-talk ULFA member Pranamoy Rajguru.
It ay be mentioned that ULFA sources have denied Pranamoy to be involved with their organisation and termed him as a 'fake-ULFA'.
