Assam: Gold worth Rs. 53 Lakh seized at Guwahati Airport, 2 arrested

GUWAHATI | January 22, 2020:
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), during security check on Tuesday arrested two persons and recovered 4 gold bars weighing around 1.3 kg worth Rs 53 lakh at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport.
The accused have been identified as Nitin Sahu and Amit Mehra who were travelling to Mumbai.
Reportedly, the Gold bar weighing 1300 Grams was concealed inside body cavity.
