ASSAM: Doctors suspended for defying joining orders

ASSAM: Chief Minister Sabarnanda Sonowal has recently cracked down on doctors who joined services late and 3 doctors from Majuli have been suspended for defying their joining orders.

The Health Minister's Office had appointed five specialist doctors for the Civil Hospital in Majuli on June 21 but three of the five had not joined service till date. The three suspended doctors have been identified as Dr.Achit Barua, Dr.Tridip Burhagohain and Dr.Subhrojyoti Das. They were supposed to report at the Pitambar Dev Goswami Civil Hospital immediately.
