Assam Budget 2018-19: The Assam Government on Monday took a decision to implement the recommendations of the 7th Assam Pay Commission with effect from April 2016. This was announced by Finance Minister Himanta Sarma during the ongoing budget session today. Here are updates from today's Budget session:

Furthermore, he stated that the Assam Government has constituted a committee to examine the anomalies in 7th APPPC report. The report is under examination and the grievances of the employees will be resolved shortly.

The finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also presented E-Budget during the budget session where each members of the house were provided with tablet.
Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighted the three stands in the 2018-19 budget — Ekatrikaran, Xomproxaron and Uttoron.
Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed he would present the state's first e-Budget at the legislative Assembly today.
"The government will present the first e-Budget in the Assembly and each legislator will be provided with a tablet (computer) with details of the Budget," Mr Sarma told reporters here.
The legislators will be able to access the tablets during discussions and cut motion on the Budget inside the House, he said.
