The sub-divisional police officer of Bokakhat, Bitul Chetia who is conducting the investigation informed that the wife of the deceased Janmoni was arrested in connection with the murder of her husband Nabin and has been sent to judicial custody.

He further added that there is every possibility of another person's involvement in the killing as the injuries on the body point towards such a possibility.

Sources said that five years ago, Janmoni had deserted her husband, Nabin and their two minor children and had run away with another man. She returned a week ago.

The police investigation is on and is trying to apprehend the culprit/s as early as possible.
