Parash Boro, the 14-year-old football player from Dudhnoi in Goalpara district, who has been invited by a premier football club of Thailand to undertake advanced training, will leave for Bangkok on May 20.

The Bangkok Football Club (BFC), formerly known as the Bangkok Bravo Football Club of Thailand, has given this opportunity to Parash. He will be given three months' advanced skill training in modern football, beginning from May 25 to August 28 at Marwyn stadium, Pak Kret, Nonthaburi in Bangkok, under the programme Elite Players Football Development Coaching Camp.

Jakarat Tonhongsa, the head coach of the club, will judge Parash's potential and take him to the next level.

Parash was chosen for this training by a group of BFC officials who were impressed by his football techniques at a coaching centre in New Delhi back in October 2017. However, hailing from a poor family, he didn't have the necessary funds to fulfil his dream.

St Peters National Academy in Dudhnoi, where Parash is a student, came forward to support him in this journey.

"It feels great to help a talented kid like Parash," Shine K.J., the principal of the school, said.

Another contribution was made by veteran photo journalist Vishma Thapa.

"I appeal to the government as well as the district administration to come forward to help Parash financially," Thapa told The Telegraph on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Parash was very happy at the clearance of the financial hurdle. "I am dying to learn new lessons of the game in Bangkok. For a boy like me, it is as if a far fetched dream is coming true," he said.

He said he has already been offered the BFK jersey bearing number 10, which has been worn by so many football legends.
