Arunachal Pradesh | Re-polling at 18 booths to be held on April 27

ITANAGAR | April 23, 2019:

Election Commission of India on Monday announced that re-polling in 18 booths in Arunachal Pradesh will be held on April 27.

The Commission has declared void the polls held in these stations on April 11th due to reasons such as malfunctioning EVMs and procedural errors.

The 18 booths are under 4 legislative assembly constituencies in Kurung Kumey District.

State CEO office has informed that additional companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed in the district to provide adequate security.

Simultaneous Assembly and Lok Sabha polls were held in a single phase on April 11th.
