52-yr-old tests positive for covid-19 in Assam; Condition stable, says Himanta Biswa

GUWAHATI | MARCH 31, 2020:

A 52-year-old person has been tested positive for coronavirus in Assam, making it the third case in the northeastern region of India after Manipur and Mizoram.

This was confirmed by Assam Health Minister, Himanya Biswa Sarma on Twitter.

It is to be mentioned that the first case of covid-19 in Northeast India was detected in Manipur while the second case was reported from Mizoram.

The minister tweeted;

Meanwhile, Assam government has also informed that it has in its possession a list of 456 persons who were present in and around the hotspot near Nizamuddin Dargah in New Delhi to attend the religious congregation– Tablighi Jamaat earlier this month.
