ASSAM

She is one tough cop, a rare woman IPS officer from Assam. If one man army is not apt in this context, then one woman militia is perfect to describe this brave and courageous IPS officer. A wife, a mother, a public servant, an icon — She is a combination of all the qualities of a warrior queen. We salute her for her courage and her bravery.

She runs not after government job, high living standard or glamour but this brave lady prefer running after ghosts. Yes, she is a ghost-buster from Assam. A member of the Indian Paranormal Society, she is an investigator with Ghost Research and Investigators of Paranormal (GRIP). The trained investigator now plans to explore some such sites in Assam. One such place is 'magical' Mayong.

Dipa Karmakar

India's sweetheart, Dipa Karmakar created history by becoming the first Indian female gymnast ever to compete in the Olympics and the first Indian gymnast to do so in 52 years. She attained 4th position in Women's Vault Gymnastics event of Rio Olympics 2016. Recently, the Department of Post unveiled a special cover on Karmakar, a proud moment for Tripura indeed.

Anita Niraula

A dynamic personality who has contributed immensely towards media and journalism in Sikkim, Niraula is the first Indian author to write a book on the lives of the artists for which she was conferred with first Lt. Shobha Rai Bardewa Investigative Journalism Award. Her name was also recognised and mentioned in the Indian Book of Records for her contribution. It is also believed that through her book and her write-ups she started a new trend of journalistic literature in the hills of Darjeeling and Sikkim.
