We will take strict action against corrupt officers, says Arunachal CM

ITANAGAR:

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, on Tuesday, said that strict action will be taken against corrupt officers behind illegal appointments following the constitution of the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB).

“Ever since we strengthened the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission and constituted the APSSB, we cannot give any job appointment, but we can terminate corrupt officers,” Khandu said.

Pasighat MLA Ninong Ering, during the question hour of the assembly session on March 2, alleged that there were illegal appointments within the education department.

He also said that he lodged a written complaint regarding the issue and demanded strict action against the corrupt officers.

Meanwhile, Education Minister Taba Tedir informed that the Special Investigation Cell is looking into the matter. (With inputs from Arunachal Times)
