Two killed after being hit by SUV in Arunachal Pradesh, accused absconding

ITANAGAR:

Two persons were reportedly killed after a Toyota Fortuner, bearing registration number AR-05D-2023 from Arunachal Pradesh allegedly collided with them.

The deceased has been identified as Mongol Shiv Boraik (35) and Biru Saura (36).

The incident occurred after the SUV hit the deceased from the rear while they were on their way to work.

Chariduar Police Station Officer In-charge (OC) Alimuddin Ahmed informed the incident occurred at around 6.30 am on Tuesday on NH 52 near Kalimandir, Balipara.

The SUV reportedly belongs to East Kameng Zilla Parishad Chairperson (ZPC) Dobia Lamnio.

The driver of the SUV along with the owner fled from the scene, and an investigation is on to arrest the accused, Ahmed said.

A case has been registered at the Chariduar police station.
