ITANAGAR:

The body of a six-year-old girl from Upper Subansiri District who lived with her relative in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, was on March 1.

Sources stated they found the body under “mysterious circumstances” and Kulen Dubi, the paternal uncle of the deceased, informed that there was a grievous injury mark on the child’s body.

However, the postmortem report ruled the death as a case of murder.

The Dubi Welfare Society (DWS) alleged that the deceased was brutally tortured and sexually assaulted before she died.

“There are bruises and cut marks all over the body of the child. Even her intimate parts are badly bruised. Prima facie, it is evident that she was physically and mentally tortured for several days before her painful death,” the DWS said.
