National Commission for Women felicitates Anganwadi worker from Arunachal Pradesh

Amping Ratan, an Anganwadi worker of Mebo Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) project, was felicitated for her “excellent service” during a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on the occasion of the 29th Foundation Day of the National Commission for Women on Sunday.

Union Minister, Prakash Javadekar felicitated Amping Ratan including several other ‘Covid Women Warriors’ of the country.

Ratan is also the recipient of several district and state awards for her exemplary dedication to her work.

During the lockdown, she assisted health workers in contact tracing and spreading COVID-19 awareness protocols while caring for the women and children in her area.

“It is a matter of great pride for East Siang District and the state that our sister Amping Ratan has been felicitated by the National Commission for Women for her excellent work,” the ICDS Deputy Director of East Siang District, Ponung Ering Angu, said.
