Troops of the Indian Army rescued two women from drowning at Siyom and Pitgong rivers at West Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh on November 4.
According to sources, the women were trapped at the junction of the rivers because of a sudden increase in the water level of both the rivers near Kaying Village.
On being informed by villagers from Kaying Village, a team from nearby Army Camp immediately launched an operation to save the two women.
