ICAR concludes three-day training programme in Arunachal Pradesh

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in Basar, Arunachal Pradesh, concluded a three-day training programme on "Prospective technologies for climate-resilient agriculture" under the National Innovation on Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) project and a one-day training-cum-input distribution programme under Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) project at Basar Circle, Lepa Rada, on Thursday.

The programme kicked off on February 23 and witnessed the participation of over 49 farmers.

During the programme, the joint director of ICAR, H. Kalita, delivered lectures on the importance of early identification and management of citrus stem borer by organic methods.

Besides this, the participating farmers also visited several farms, including the agroforestry and integrated farming system unit in Gori farm, ICAR, Basar centre, as part of a training exercise.
