Guwahati Grand Poetry Festival to enrich Northeast India’s vibrant culture

NORTHEAST | AUGUST 26, 2020:

The Guwahati Grand Poetry Festival in collaboration Karadi Tales(South India) is organising a story writing competition for children(up to 16 years) from the Northeast.

Organised under the theme "Northeast India's vibrant indigenous culture, customs and folk tales," the joint forum strives to enrich the region's poetry and echo together with the folktales of India and beyond.

"The arrival of Karadi Tales in Northeast India and its association with Guwahati Grand Poetry Festival will see many more opportunities for the child literateurs in the region in near future," stated Manjit Kr Sarma Founder & Convener, Guwahati Grand Poetry Festival.

The winner of the competition will get an opportunity to publish the winning story with Karadi Tales besides being awarded the winners' trophy by the Guwahati Grand Poetry Festival.

"This is a direct opportunity for the children of Northeast India where their stories get published by a publishing giant like Karadi Tales which was founded in 1996.

The submissions for the competition will be open until October, 30 and the results will be declared on November 14 Children's Day 2020," he added.
