ITANAGAR:

A Special Investigation Cell (SIC) arrested the former Deputy Commissioner of Lower Subansiri district, Kemo Lollen, and former District Land Revenue Settlement Officer (DLRSO) Bharat Lingu in connection with the Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) case.

According to recent media reports, Lollen and Lingu were earlier arrested in connection with the Joram-Koloriang TAH compensation scam.

“We arrested the two of them on Sunday and produced (them) before the court and remanded (them) to police custody for four days. Further investigation is on,” SIC SP M. Harshavardhan said.

On July 3, 2018, the SIC had arrested two state officials for their alleged involvement in gross irregularities concerning the payment of compensation against the Joram-Koloriang TAH project in Lower Subansiri district.
