PASIGHAT:

The Adi Young Officers Forum (AYOF), on February 16, extended financial support to the victims of the Jawaharlal Nehru College fire in Pasighat, AYOF chairman Pandav Perme said during his recent visit to the college campus.

Perme also visited the victims and their families and advised them to exercise caution regarding fire safety management procedures.

“There is an increasing aftermath of fire accidents in the Pasighat township area that need to be addressed to avert such tragedies in the future,” Perme said.

According to the officials, several families lost their houses in the fire and evacuated to makeshift camps near Sibo Korong river.

The AYOF had also contributed Rs 1 lakh to the Kaying fire victims last year.
