Arunachal's Nisham Waii beats Assam's Jitul Ali to win Northeast MMA Championship 2021

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh's Nisham Waii Sonam defeated Assam's Jitul Ali in the Northeast Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship 2021, under the 61-kg category, in Guwahati on Sunday.

The inter-club tournament was organised by Bidang MMA and Fitness Gym Sundarpur, Guwahati.

Waii is a member of the Arunachal's Abrasumente Academy club, Itanagar and hails from Waii village under Khenewa circle of East Kameng district.

Reportedly, Waii was dominant since the first round of the match, overpowering Jitu and attained victory in the second round itself.

Notably, Waii is the second raw fighter from Abrasumente Academy Itanagar to have won the Inter-Club fight of Northeast MMA Championship.
