Arunachal: WASE appeals for alcohol-free Panchayat election

 |

PASIGHAT:

While continuing their fight against the menace of drugs and Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) in the society, the Women Against Social Evils (WASE) has appealed for an alcohol-free election during this ensuing Panchayat and Municipal election to be held on December 22.

The organisation is protecting youths from falling prey to easy liquor available during the time of election, which is mostly offered by contesting candidates.

“WASE mothers have appealed to all the voters not to ask for money, alcohol, fuel, mobile recharge from the contesting candidates,” said Yamik Dulom Darang, WASE President.

WASE has put up appeal posters in every contesting candidate’s house, urging them to support in minimising the IMFL problem in the society.
