ITANAGAR: The office of the Deputy Commissioner of Namsai district in Arunachal Pradesh, RK Sharma on Wednesday, organised an essay competition on how to eradicate the menace of drug abuse among the youth.

The Nasha Mukt Bharat (Drug-free India campaign) district-level essay competition was part of 35th Arunachal Pradesh Statehood Day celebration, 2021.

Speaking to the participants, Sharma said that their views and suggestions would help drug abusers recover back to normal life.

Reportedly, the topics were ‘Drug menace and measures to mitigate drug abuse’ for school students and, ‘How has the pandemic led to an increase in the use of drugs’ for college and university students.

Arunachal Pradesh will celebrate its Statehood Day on February 20.
