Arunachal Pradesh: Internet services to be suspended for exams

Internet services in fifteen districts of Arunachal Pradesh will be temporarily suspended during the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive (Prelims) Examination (APPSCCE) on 1 November.

Home Commissioner Kaling Tayeng in an order stated that internet will be suspended in Tawang, West Kameng, East Kameng, West Siang, Leparada, East Siang, Upper Siang, Lower Subansiri, Upper Subansiri, Lower Dibang Valley, Lohit, Tirap, Changlang, Itanagar Capital Region and Papum Pare districts. This was done to prevent sharing of any exam related information using telecom services.

The recent rise of internet related scams and leaks during examination, the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission took the step in curbing such incidents from taking place.
