Arunachal Pradesh: CM Khandu conducts review meeting under Smart City Mission

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu chaired a review meeting on Wednesday to discuss various developmental projects undertaken by the government under the Smart City Mission, in Itanagar.

During the meeting, Khandu spoke about the various projects under the Smart City Mission and called for special attention to solid waste management in Itanagar and Pasighat while executing the plans.

Smart Cities Mission is an initiative by the government of India to provide citizen-friendly and sustainable development.

The CM also stressed on the fact that the government needs to utilise technological support of the IT for the efficiency of the administration, to improve the quality of service.

"A review meeting today on progress of #SmartCityProject in Arunachal. The state has #Itanagar & #Pasighat listed under Smart Cities Mission. Thanks to PM @narendramodi," Khandu tweeted.

The meeting was attended by Development Minister Kamlung Mossang and Lok Sabha member Tapir Gao.
