Arunachal Pradesh: Changlang DC kick-starts food processing training for rural welfare

ITANAGAR: The Deputy Commissioner of Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh and North-Eastern Region Community Resource Management Project (NERCORMP) chairman Dr Devesh Yadav kick-started a training programme for the people of Changlang at the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology in Guwahati, Assam.

The programme was launched free of cost under NERCORMP’s food processing and allied programmes.

NERCORMP is an initiative by the North Eastern Council (NEC) for the welfare of the rural sector across the northeastern region.

As per reports, thirty-one villages under Changlang district benefited from the training programme.

We may also note that there are over 26 food processing units in Changlang district.
