Arunachal Pradesh: Awareness programme on Yak rearing held in Tawang

ITANAGAR: The National Research Centre on Yak (NRCY) organised an awareness programme for farmers on Yak breeding at Lhau village in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Friday.

Over 50 farmers attended the programme.

Addressing the farmers, the principal scientist of NRCY, Dr D Medhi, highlighted several scientific methods of yak rearing and feeding.

Meanwhile, Dr SS Choudhary spoke on several other topics including hygiene maintenance, while NRCY senior technical officer Dr M Hussain briefed the farmers on reproductive health management.

The farmers also received manual chaff cutters, concentrate feed, common salt, calcium preparations and veterinary medicines from the NRCY’s Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) fund.
