Arunachal Finance Minister presents state budget for 2021-22

Arunachal Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Chowna Mein, on Wednesday, presented the state budget for 2021-22 during the budget session at the state assembly in Itanagar.

He said that the government will focus on six key areas of growth, namely Health & Wellbeing, Reinvigorating Human Capital, Inclusive Development for Aspirational Arunachal, Physical & Financial Capital & Infrastructure, Minimum Govt & Maximum Governance and Innovation Research & Development.

“The state survived the brunt of nation-wide economic lockdown with the guidance and support received from the Centre,” Mein said.

“We have fared better than other counterparts,” he added.

Mein mentioned that Rs 1,895 crore was allocated for clearing old liabilities of SIDF and additional RE. About Rs 180 crore was allocated for catering to CCI projects. While an increasing amount of Rs 1,000 crore was allocated for Central Sector Schemes (CSS). Further, he mentioned on Mission to achieve Rs 5, n 000 crore funds from the Government of India (GoI) under various CSS.

Entrepreneurship and Start-Up Ecosystem
