Arunachal Deputy CM announces Rs 37. 87 crore for renovating Parshuram Kund pilgrimage site

Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, on Monday, stated that the Centre would release a fund of Rs 37.87 crore for the renovation of the Parshuram Kund pilgrimage site of the Mishmi tribe in Lohit district.

Mein made the statement during the Tamla Du festival of the Mishmi tribe.

“Parshuram Kund is one of the most sacred places and is visited by many pilgrims throughout the year. A facelift will boost the sources of livelihood for the locals and lead to socio-economic development,” Mein said while motivating the youth to preserve the traditional system and the tribe’s rich culture.

Mein also spoke about various developmental undertakings by the state government for the welfare of the people.

Others who spoke included the Deputy Commissioner of Lohit, Marge Sora, and Lohit Zila Parishad member Dasula Krisikro.
