IPFT calls 24-hour bandh in tribal areas

The Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) has called for a 24-hour 'Bandh' in Tripura's Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) areas on Wednesday.

The IPFT announced the bandh from 6:00 am on October 15 to 6:00 am on October 16.

While addressing the media, Mangal Debbarma, IPFT Assistant General Secretary, said that all the branch organizations under the banner of the IPFT would observe a 24-hour bandh on October 15 next.

Mangal informed that a delegation would meet several leaders including the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister and the BJP National President JP Nadda during their visit in New Delhi.

Concerning the forthcoming TTAADC elections, Mangal said that the final decision has not yet been taken on the seat-sharing or contesting in the elections alone.

He also added that the top leaders of the party would take the final decision in this regard after holding talks with their counterpart.
