UP man rapes girl, shares video on social media

BALLIA:

Uttar Pradesh Police arrested a man for allegedly raping a teenage girl while filming the act and sharing it on social media.

“The person involved in the heinous act Chandrama Rajbhar, 24, was arrested on Sunday for repeatedly raping a 17-year-old girl for the past year,” Station House Officer, Sukhpura, Virendra Yadav said.

Police further informed that the accused filmed the entire video and shared it on Facebook.

Police took up the matter after the girl filed a complaint about the incident.

She also said that the accused threatened her if she told anyone.

Meanwhile, police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Rajbhar under the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the IT Act.
