The Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) on November 18 held a sector commander level meeting at the Border Outpost (BOP) in Kilapara (Dalu) of 75 Bn BSF in West Garo Hills (WGH), Meghalaya to maintain cordial relations at the border.

The BSF delegation was led by Soorya Kant Sharma, DIG Sector HQ Tura with Jayant Kumar Singh, Comdt (OPS) and 13 other officials, the 15 BGB delegates were led by Col. Md. Mahmudur Rahman and Sector Commander, Mymensingh (Bangladesh).

During the meeting various border-related problems faced by the population of both the countries and border crimes like smuggling of cattle, drugs and narcotics, bike theft, illegal crossing were discussed.

The commanders of both countries agreed to maintain good, cordial relations to ensure peace and tranquillity on both sides of the border.
