India registers 23,285 new infections in the last 24 hours

NEW DELHI:
India recorded 23,285 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the total tally of Covid-19 cases is 1,13,08,846.
The death toll increased to 1,58,306, with 117 new fatalities recorded.
The total active caseload increased to 1,97,237.
The positivity rate now stands at 1.74 per cent of total infections, while the recovery rate has dropped to 96.86 per cent.
