Defence Ministry organises quiz competition ahead of Republic Day

NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Defence, Government of India in collaboration with MyGov is organising an online quiz competition, as part of this year's Republic Day celebration and to commemorate 50 Years of 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.

"The quiz competition is meant to create a patriotic feeling among the people by making them aware of various facets of the victory achieved and sacrifices made in the 1971 war," read a release issued by Indian Air Force.

The competition also has ten cash prizes -- First 25,000/, Second 15,000/, Third Prize 10,000/, besides seven consolation prizes,(Rs 5,000/- each).

"Indian Citizens aged 14 years and above can participate in the quiz," it was informed.

The competition started on January 11, and will continue till 22, 2021.
