SHILLONG: The Caucasus-Asia Center (CAC) will organise the Northeast India International Economic Forum 2020, from December 19 to 20.

The event will take place virtually from 3 pm to 6 pm, with an attempt to bring in a host of stakeholders connected to India’s Northeast region and even new global investors willing to get connected in its socio-economic development journey, stated a press release by CAC on December 17.

The event is being held under its newly launched initiative- Global Coalition for Frontier Markets (GCFM), with an aim to “build bridges between frontier regions/ countries from around the planet and rightfully represent the divergent and common interests of such markets at the world stage.”

“Considering the resources potential of the Northeast India, both in terms of minerals, clean energy and skilled manpower, it becomes imperative to draw the attention of the Global Investors’ Community, both private and institutional, to get connected with the region,” it added.

Caucasus-Asia Center is a non-profit organisation in New Delhi, which focuses on the countries in the Caucasus and attempts to connect these countries with people and businesses in Asia.
