KOLKATA: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged that the Trinamool Congress workers pelted stones at the convoy of BJP National President J P Nadda in West Bengal, on Thursday.

The party workers belonging to the saffron party were also thrashed by Trinamool Congress workers in Diamond Harbour, as reported by the Times of India.

BJP National Vice President Mukul Roy said, “The rule of law has ceased to exist in Bengal. The opposition parties are not allowed to conduct their programmes. A jungle raj is going on in the state.”

Meanwhile, the TMC local leaders have rejected such claims and termed their statements as baseless and politically influenced.

Nadda was on a two-day visit to West Bengal, starting from Wednesday, to address the party workers.
