US President-elect Joe Biden to remove several Trump-era policies

 |

WASHINGTON DC:

After being sworn in on Wednesday, US President-elect Joe Biden is likely to sign 17 orders and actions to depart from Trump-era policies.

Among them, are orders to restore the United States to the Paris Agreement and the World Health Organization.

He will also end Trump’s much-assailed ban on visitors from several Muslim countries and halt construction of the wall that Trump ordered on the US-Mexico border to stem illegal immigration.

The new president will also send a bill to Congress to revamp the old immigration policies drafted during Donald Trump's tenure.

The new policy will probably benefit the millions of undocumented migrants living in the country, particularly from India and other Asian countries.
