SpaceX rocket explodes after landing during test flight

TEXAS:

SpaceX’s Starship SN10 unmanned rocket prototype exploded shortly after landing at the company’s launch site in Boca Chica, Texas, on March 3.

The Elon Musk-led flagship rocket made its initial test launch and looked like it aced the much-anticipated trial of a successful touchdown, but exploded minutes after landing.

The SN10 prototype took off from Boca Chica, Texas and reached an altitude of 10 kilometres, before descending horizontally and landing upright over the Gulf of Mexico.

Reacting to the unsuccessful test flight, Musk tweeted, “RIP SN10, honourable discharge.”

Musk appreciated the team working on the project SpaceX and said that he hopes that someday his company will complete the trial process and reach space.
