PM Modi arrives in Bangladesh for 50th Independence Day celebrations

DHAKA:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bangladesh on Friday to take part in the country’s 50th Independence Day celebrations.

Modi is on a two-day visit to the country and will also hold diplomatic dialogues with his counterpart, Sheikh Hasina.

Following his arrival, Modi visited the National Martyrs' Memorial in Sevar Upazila and paid tribute to the martyrs of the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.

The Indian Prime Minister will also attend the National Day Programme and meet Foreign Minister A.K Abdul Momen.

Besides this, he will address the Indian diaspora living in the country during his visit.
