NEW DELHI:

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said that his country also “desires peaceful cooperative relations” with neighbouring India.

Khan made the statement in response to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s letter wishing him on ‘Pakistan Day’ on March 23.

Modi had stated that as a neighbouring country, India desires cordial relations with the people of Pakistan, and the need to inculcate the act of trust, devoid of terror and hostility.

“Thank you for your letter conveying greetings on Pakistan Day. The people of Pakistan also desire peaceful, cooperative relations with all neighbours, including India,” Khan replied.

According to sources, Khan is also considering resolving the Jammu and Kashmir issue.

Besides this, Khan conveyed his best wishes to India in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
