One of the very last pictures of our Ronnie James Dio from his hospital bed in Houston. Some see in this picture a sadness. Some see in this picture a sorrow. I however see in this picture a strength and a bravery. A steadfast determination and a will to fight no matter how tough the battle may be. Not a decision to give up or to give in but to carry on until it was impossible anymore for him to do so.
Ronnie was not afraid instead he was defiant. Raising the horns one last time in a final selfless act. To encourage and to instill in us hope for the battles that we may face in our own lives. A final act of love and of support to us is what this picture represents to me. His music and his memory are forever and they will never give way to time. They are both as eternal as the universe itself.
Ronnie Died of Cancer after a prolonged battle, but the legend lives on .
