This award-winning school in Nagaland has redefined innovation
KOHIMA | AUGUST 19, 2020:
St Christopher School, Chessore Village, Nagaland won the first-ever Pallikkutam National Award for Innovation in Education, followed by DAV Public School- Haryana, and CMI Christ School, Iritty- Kerala.
Instituted by Rajagiri Media, sponsored under the CSR initiative of Federal Bank, the awards carry a cash prize of ₹1,00,000, ₹50,000, and ₹25,000, for first second and third positions respectively, for excellence in academic leadership despite the COVID-19 crisis.
A jury from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode selected the winners.
The jury speculated that Christopher School in Nagaland conducted classes smoothly despite the limited infrastructure and resource constraints in a rural area.
Most importantly, the school balanced online and offline sessions, relying mostly on WhatsApp, including talent and literary competitions.
