GANGTOK | SEPT 17, 2020:

In view of several reports stating that a majority of returnees are unsure of how to go about quarantine procedures in Sikkim, the administration issued a clarification by stating that paid quarantine is available for all returnees and that all returnees have to complete 11 days as per SOPs.

According to a statement by the administration, there will be no need for further tests after completing the 11-day quarantine.

Returnees may opt for home quarantine based on a recommendation by the Panchayat (issued after verification) or a NOC issued by the house owner.

The Panchayats and house owners must also verify that separate toilets and kitchens are available for individuals undergoing home quarantine.

Returnees who have opted for paid quarantine can also shift to home quarantine by obtaining a NOC from the panchayat and house owner, which can be submitted to the person in charge of the quarantine centre.

Labourers under the employment of various companies and contractors may complete their quarantine either in paid centres or by notifying the camp.
