One more succumbs to COVID-19 in Meghalaya, total fatalities stand at seven

SHILLONG | AUG 22, 2020:

Another person succumbed to COVID-19 in Meghalaya on Friday, August 21, taking the total number of deaths in the state to seven.

An informed source confirmed the death stating that the deceased was a 58-yr-old male from Jhalupara in Shillong.

It was informed that the elderly male breathed his last at Shillong Civil Hospital on Friday night at around 10.15 pm.

He died due to Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and is counted as COVID death.

"The deceased was a COVID patient and he was suffering from diabetes and also had a heart problem," said the source.
