Meghalaya reports another COVID-19 death

SHILLONG | SEPT 12, 2020:

Meghalaya today reported another COVID-19 death after a 15-year-old boy from Mawpat succumbed to this virus.

Speaking to media persons, DHS (MI), Dr Aman Warr informed that the 15-year-old boy, Welldone Marbaniang had died at Gordon Robert Hospital on September 10 at around 5:30 am.

The patient was diagnosed with undifferentiated febrile illness with acute respiratory distress syndrome, septic shock, he was tested positive for COVID-19 at Dr H. Gordon Robert Hospital, Shillong.

The total number of deaths from COVID-19 in the State has now gone up to 25. Meanwhile, the State recorded 168 new positive cases taking the tally of active cases to 1570.

Meghalaya recorded 131 recoveries on Saturday The total number of recovered cases stands at 2020.
