Meghalaya: Byrnihat police outpost temporarily closed down after official tests positive
SHILLONG | SEPT 13, 2020:
The Byrnihat police outpost in Ri-Bhoi District, Meghalaya has been temporarily closed after one official of the outpost tested positive for COVID-19, said a press release issued by the office of the Director-General of Police, Meghalaya on Sunday.
Police officials of the outpost have been placed under medical observation and at present, they have shifted all official works of the outpost to the Anti-Infiltration Checkpost in Byrnihat, it stated.
The outpost will be disinfected according to protocol and will reopen once they declare the establishment fit for re-occupation.
Residents under the jurisdiction of the outpost are to approach the Anti-Infiltration Checkpost in Byrnihat for any requirement or help.
