Third medical college a boon in the making for healthcare in Tripura?

AGARTALA | AUGUST 16, 2020:

On the 74th Independence Day, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, announced the setting up of the third medical college at Dhalai district, Tripura.

The third medical college after the State-run Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and a private society-managed Tripura Medical College would come up at Ambassa in Dhalai district, 82 Km north from Agartala.

"Inspected the parade & took salutation of forces during the celebration of 74th Independence Day at Assam Rifles ground in Agartala. Also distributed various Police Medals and addressed beloved people of Tripura," tweeted the CM.

Presently, the state's medical department has allotted 2,129 beds fro COVID-19 patients and 18,000 beds for quarantined individuals in all the eight districts.
