Nagaland educational system in shambles?

Nagaland with a total of 2,752 schools (2,007 government institutions and 745 private) with 3,76,301 enrollments, out of which 2,38,216 or 63.30% are private institutions against 1,38,085 or 36.69% in government-run institutions.
According to the statistical analysis by the Ministry of Education's Unified District Information System for Education (UDISE+), the number of school dropouts especially in Secondary and Higher Secondary seems to have increased in Nagaland.
It can be noted that the student-teacher ratio in government schools is at 7:1 (one teacher for seven students) with a total of 19,886 teachers.
While the ratio in private schools stands at 20:1 (one teacher for twenty students), with a total of 12,129 teachers, indicating that the teacher-student ratio is the higher side in private schools.
The student-teacher ratio shows the workload and availability of teachers in reaching out to the students.
The data also showed that only 14 out of 745 in private schools, and 60 out of 2007 in government schools had toilet facilities for children with disabilities.
Only 93 (12.48%) private schools and 870 ( 43.35%) government schools had ramps for wheelchairs.
In terms of separate toilets for boys and girls, 96.86% of government schools and 99.43% private schools had separate girls toilet and 95.44% of the government schools and 99.43% private schools have separate toilets for boys.
Almost 95.16% of government schools and 98.45% in private schools have adequate electricity.
In terms of infrastructures and other amenities, private schools fared better than government-run schools.
The Performance Grading Index (PGI) calculated that Nagaland attained a Grade V category with a score of 601-650 out of 1000.
The PGI index programmed to motivate each State or Union Territory to improve its performance continuously.
