Mizoram Governor suggests inclusion of Mizo language in NEP-2020

Mizoram Governor P.S Sreeedharan Pillai along with Higher and Technical Education Minister Dr R. Lalthangliana, on Monday, took part in the video-conference on the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 along with the governors of several other states and Union Territories.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about the primary goals concerning the NEP-2020 along with Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokriyal 'Nishank'.

"Mizoram state agreeing with the NEP. The arrangement might even be made in Mizoram about this new policy; all the arrangements are being studied/controlled under Dr.Lalthanglian's orders," Pillai said.

Pillai also informed that Hindi is now being taught in Mizoram and suggested for the inclusion of Mizo language along with English in the NEP-2020, including the need for student exchange programmes.
